My cat went missing friday night, and has been found dead?

I have 2 cats, bruno n lola. i let them out friday ttime when i came home from work as i always did. I always leave the door open so they can come in and out. The last time i saw her was around 6.30. At 9.30 i called them in but ther was no sign of lola. i stayed up hours waiting for her but no luck. I was worried straight away as i never leave my cats out alone and they never go far, ther always in and out. I went out to find her but no joy. She still wasnt home saturday AM and by this time i was extremely worried. i put posters up hoping someone would see her. Sunday came and still nothing, until lunchtime a neighbour said she was behind her wheelie bin dead. And she was, no blood or injuries. Could she have been poisened? She was only 15 months and was my little baby.. i miss her soo much, i just hope she didint die in pain. Bruno is lost aswell.. totally devastated

Aquarium Problems, Please Help!!?

okay so, i have had a 25 gallon aquarium running for 5days with no fish in it. I have an air pump, 33gallon bio filter, gravel, plants and ornaments, thermostat. now here is my problem. I put 25 gallons fresh tap water used chemical drops to get rid of chlorine and chloramin(however you spell them) i let my filter run for 2 days then checked my PH Level, Ammonia and Nitrite. I had 7.6PH (way to high) 1.0 ammonia(also to high) and 0Nitrite. so i used PH down drops, they did nothing.so everyday for the past 3 days i have been using the PH down drops and they have done nothing. my nitrite is now at .50ppm and my ammonia still sitting at 1.0. my Temperature is perfect 78F but i don't know what to do!? i put biological filtration booster in my tank today but i don't understand what half the stuff i read online means. i am a first time aquarium owner and am sooo confused! please help! I have 5 tiger barbs in my small 10 gallon waiting to get put into a larger tank. they are losing there stripes not really eating or swimming they look so unhappy! someone please give me advice on what to do with my 25gallon, or if i can just put them in there. ahh.. im begging! they are so sad and i feel terrible. My dog is scared of everything?

She is a three year old and as she's gotten older, she seems to have grown more scared of everything. Every Friday night is little athletics close to our house and she hears the starting guns and goes crazy. She shakes uncontrollably and pants heavily. Ball python trouble! help please?

Ok so here is my situation. I had bought a baby ball python from petco in mid March. I placed him in a nice 10 gallon tank, a heat pad, hiding log, lamp with a 75 watt heating bulb, and a large water dish. He was very timid at first I would be able to put him around my neck, walk with him, and he was reluctant to strike anyone or anything. I could take him into the TV room and hed be absolutely fine with it. He would never constrict my hand or anything for that matter.So the problems immediately began after I had came back from a week vacation from California. he is currently 22 inches and I had fed him a large fuzzy mouse I had thawed earlier before I had left. The constant temperature while I was gone was 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Right after I arrived I picked him up gently and sat down on a chair in my room. He began constricting my hand vigorously so I gently slipped him off my hand using my right hand. He then immediately turned and made an attempt to bite my left hand. I then brushed it off thinking he was not accustomed to being handled for the week I was gone. So I turned his heat mat on, and his heat lamp as well. the next day he handled fine but he just continued to tighten around my wrist with no intention of letting up so I let him do his thing for as long as he had to until he loosened up. The third time I handled my BP I sat down with him on the same chair as before. he then struck my leg and got me. After a minute later he struck and got my arm. So I guess he was agitated for some strange reason so I put him back in his cage but he would not quit constricting my hand. I then fed a fuzzy to him the 3rd day I was back. He ate regularly and I made sure to wash my hands after handling any food. Again just today he struck at my shirt and started constricting it. He then continued to go in on it as if he was trying to consume the shirt. so I then gently sprayed him with cold water to make him release. I dont know what is affecting my snake he never ever acted out like this or ever constricted my hand as hard as he does now. Any advice to solve this problem would really help. Thanks! That is an extremely good poem. I havnt read many poems but that is one of the best i have read for sure. It is so thought provoking when your talking about the the balance between the good and bad in human nature and how it is like a harmony. I dont know if thats what your trying to get at but thats what i got out of it. The only part i kind of kind of got set off at was when you said "hard white wind" it was kind of lame word choice compared to all the glory and mystique of the rest. I have a 99 eclipse and its making a wierd metal on metal sound, wat can be wrong?

With a large check made out to me from Maidenform, Inc 154 Ave E NJ. the signer on the check has the name of The Vice Chair & CEO of Maidenform I looked it up, It says check is to cover Taxs/ fees for receiving a larger grant that doesn't have to be paid back. It says the Money for the grant comes from Donors such as the Companys I mentioned above and many more that were on the survey I filled out. It does say that the 4000 check I received today for the Taxes and Fees will be deducted from the finle amount of the grant. The letter however does not say anything about being a Goveronment Grant . i was in a cab and when we were near my house there was a turn, the driver asked me "shall i turn here..." and i swear to god i heard him saying the first two letters of my name and he stopped and said "shall i turn here miss?" . Ok so in my dream I was on earth at first then I was on a spaceship there were several people with me that I don't know but I seemed really familiar with them in the dream they looked different somehow taller. We were going very fast and I remember watching the planets fly by then suddenly we were in space it was dark and we went into some sort of black hole type thing I saw us heading up towards what looked like light in the distance (I felt a feeling of doom like where are we going) I saw what looked then we came another solar system (going very fast) there was a huge blue planet on one part and one with a more purpleish hue, we went to one of the ones closer to the star. When we landed I kept looking at the sky fascinated with the fact that it was a more deep blue color (almost purplish) and the clouds looked different somehow. There were streets and businesses and houses there but they seemed very different from the ones here on earth. There seemed to be symbols and other things that I wasn't familiar with Also as it got dark I was watching facinated the sky and the clouds parted revealing a very different star formation it was much more bright and there were countless stars clustered together some blue some white some yellow I was looking at a far off galaxy and there was kind of these blue and green flashes in the sky as it got dark. Suddenly I felt a sense of urgency and people were leaving the streets going towards their homes and someone told me you got to go you can't survive how cold it gets here at night. Then I woke up.

We have two children together and I filed for child support back in September, since Los Angeles has such a poor system, my paperwork was never filed in court until I had to make 2 phone calls back in March, on what happened to my case. Long Story short, They since filed my paper work in April and since being served with the papers my ex, is now moving out of our building..Yes we live in the same building yet he does not visit the children. He has since wants to dispute the amount he has to pay me in support. He has told me he does want visitations only when the court awards it to him. I have a problem with that because He does not want to tell me where he is moving to. I asked him for his new address and he asked me why. I told him he will not be taking the children if I do not know where he lives and how does he expect us to come together as parents if he is going to continue act this. I am now weary of even showing up for the support hearing because of this. I don't mind the visitations but I do mind that he will make the visitations more difficult than how it should be..for example acting like he's not home when I come by, or not picking up the phone when I call, or not knowing where he lives. How will they award visitation especially if he has not any visitations with them before?

I need good advice on if I should pick Verizon or Cingular?

I am going to be getting my own indivdual plan. Right now I have cingular and most of all my other friends have Verizon. Why is urine dirty?

urine really isn't dirty, it just has that reputation bc it's its a bodily waste and comes out of the body close to where (and goes in the potty with) fecal matter, which really is dirty, is excreted. It's actually sterile becuase of its ammonia content (which is what causes that acid-like smell). drinking it really isn't a good idea, unless you boil it and separate out all the actual wastes from the water. I think people aren't usually grossed out by our own urine, its just the idea of coming into contact with other people's urine because everyone has a different diet, some do drugs that are ped in urine, medications, etc. So its still a good idea to wash your hands, because do you really want someone else's THC or Methamphetamine positive urine in your food on your hand? I really don't, even if it is sterile. If you ever watch Penn and Teller's BS, in like season 2 i think, they did some tests and actually found that the dirtiest parts of most people's bodies are their hands and faces, not our bums or l/ areas. so bump s, don't shake hands.

I gained weight after exercising? Help?

Okay I've never really worked out in my whole life before so I'm starting to exercise now. I worked out yesterday on the treadmill for 30min (running at 10km/hr and occasionally walking) and I was really tired after. Today I ran for about 15min and did another 10min of boxing. Sick puppy...can i get my money back?

I bought a puppy from a lady with a signed receipt from her stating that i had a 3 month money back gaurantee against hereditary defects or illness. After about 2 months i noticed the puppy's legs were shakey at the ankles so i emailed her to let her know i would be taking the dog to a vet to check out the situation. I had my other dog at the vet & asked the vet (without him seeing the puppy) what he thought it may be. He said he hadnt heard of it before and so he said i should just take her straight to an orthopedic vet instead of bringing her to him. My financial situation prevented me from taking the dog to the specialist right away. I then took the dog to my dads and asked him to help me with the vet bills and he agreed to. It came to $500. It was after the 3 month guarantee was up when the dog went to the orthopedic vet and he told me it was a hereditary problem. The woman i got her from is now saying that its past the 3 months & she "legally" doesnt have to do anything about it because the dog didnt see the vet till after the 3 month deadline. I did however notify her of the problem before the 3 months were up. I have all emails & corespondance with her doented and the written reciept from her. Why won't my PS3 Sixaxis controllers connect?

I can play for about a half an hour sometimes and then the controllers will shut down on me. The controllers are charged and they won't work even if i plug them into the usb. Resetting them does not work either. The Sony BD Remote does not work either. It happens when I am playing a game and when I play movies. I've also tried moving it away from my router and there are no other bluetooth devices in the house to interfere with it. I feed our family of four on $40/week. I don't clip coupons for the very reasons you mentioned! Haha. The things I do are this: I have a set day to go shopping...for me it is Monday. I sit down and write down the meals we are going to have for the week including desserts and snacks. Then I write down every Item that I don't have and will need to buy. Next to each item on the list I write the expected price down and if I am too high I figure out what Items I need to change or cut out. Then when I am at the store I write the actual prices down and keep adding it up. This way I am never surprised by how much the bill is. A big key is to be strict about sticking to the list which is hard sometimes because my boys want everything! I know this sounds tedious but I love doing it. It is really one of the few ways that I feel like I get to contribute to the family monetarily.

Why should govt pay pension to only those who retire form govt service?

Pension is paid to Govt servants after they retire, good. But it is paid to ex governent employees out of state tax revenue to which even those contribute who do not work in goverment. Even the politicians ex MLA MP who just serve for a few years are given pension. There could be many government retired employees who had raised huge estates / capital reserves during their service days even when they were always demanding increase in dearness allownace. Dearness allowance is paid for easing survival and not for raising reserves. Hence from where do the reserves come ? Government employees feel it below dignity to send their children to Government schools and even attending government hospitals for health cover. Are they very rich? Even a Director School Education or Secretary School education living in cities does not send his children to government schools, do they deserve to remain in service and get pension on retirement , they are like that Halwaee who preferred to eat sweets from some other shop and not from his own. After VIth pay commission it has noted that some ex employees who retired about 15 years back are getting pension nearly 2.5 times the salary they were getting at the time of retirement. Some cases are there where pesioners have got pension for about 40 years where as they served for only 30 years. The concept behind pension to governemt servants who are debarred from any private enterprise / business participation during service was very very sacred but now since the government machinery is not delivering and the social services ( education,health, security, law& order, revenue records,) provided by government through government servant too are not yielding, the life of people has become difficult. These days many government servants who held non yielding senior positions are getting pension may be Rs.30000 to Rs.40000 pm which is like some one getting interest income from a fixed deposit in bank as large as Rs.40 to 50 Lac. Think over. There are many senior citizens who retire from private jobs and live miserable life without pension. Their savings too are meagre in most of the cases. So they have to keep on working till they finally "collapse". So government must come up with a security system for payment of pension to those who work in the private sector and have this way or that way contributed to tax revenue during their active days. The pension to every senior citizen should not be less than Rs.10000 per month at todays norms with growing material and health needs as is being particularly kept in view by the Pay Commissions while deciding the matters regarding governemnt servants. The position of those retiring from government public sector PSU too is bad. The provision of contributory provident fund is too meagre before the provision of Pension being paid to Governemnt employees and incase it is to match the magnitude of pension benefits that government servants have CPF by employer has to be not less than 25% to 30 % of the salary. Further in the private sector the part of wage amount qualifying for the CPF( 10%) is small and hence the CPF provides even lesser security to tose in private sector than it provides to PSU ex employess. I know someone that has a 3 yr old and a 5 week newborn. The father of the 3 yr old has full custody of her. The father of the newborn is nowhere to be found. The mother recently got her lights turned off, and will possibly be evicted from her apartment, due to non payment. The father of the 3 yr old will occasionally let her spend the night at her mother's house. I know for a fact that the mom has no shoes that fit her, clothes are WAY too small for her and dirty, and has next to nothing to feed her. She also has no bed for either of the kids. They all sleep in the same room. (Mom, boyfriend, 3 yr old, and newborn). 3 yr old has a cough, she won't take the child to the doctor, nor buy her something to help with the cough. Mother puts all financial responsibility to the father. I feel sorry for both kids, is there anything I can do to get those kids out of that situtation? Is this neglect, is she an unfit mother? I think he cares about you and his work equally but there is a priority. Putting you second doesn't mean putting you less. He wants both career and you. And the way to do it is to sort out career now and then settle down with you for good. It's a win-win situation where he's had his satisfaction of career and also satisfaction of being together with you finally. But he needs to sort out his work first, then settle down. Can't force him to settle down prematurely when his heart is not ready. As I guy I see marriage as turning a dove free to fly everywhere (career) into a deep rooted tree (family) of responsibilities. The way I see it is if a guy wants to sustain his family and provide the time and energy required to raise a loving family, then he's pretty much saying goodbye to career advancements. Doesn't mean career or family is better or is worse. Just means if he is not ready to settle down, not ready to devote himself to family more than work, forcing him won't make things any better, in fact possibly worse. So give him and yourself time and space, and I say do not dump him if you think he is worth the wait. Is he worth your wait? only you know. Is this fair? not at all but that's the way it is.

7 month old chi-terrier puppies won't eat their food..?

Maybe they just don't like the food you are feeding them. I feed my Shih Tzus poached white meat chicken everyday, I cook it fresh every day. I also feed them Blue Buffalo small breed. I've tried a lot of other dry foods for them but they just wouldn't eat it. They scarf down the Blue Buffalo and cry for the poached chicken.

Lately I have been missing my period, Idk if I'm actually pregnant or not. Also I have been gaining weight and haven't been able to keep it off. My main concern is the problem I have going to the bathroom (#2). I have done some research and my problem with this has some to do with missing periods and gaining weight. So far I haven't gone to the restroom since friday, and on that day I barely was able to go. It is now 12AM on thursday and I took an enima 5 hours ago and all that came out was a lot of yellowish cotton like things and nothing else. Whenever I do go to the bathroom it's always small and in little . I know this is gross to talk about but I'm really worried. I'm only 18 years old and I don't know what to do about this. Is there any diet schedule I can go with to help me lose weight AND give me lots of fiber?? And what should I do with my problem? My dad won't take me to the hospital unless it's reallly serious.

Recently, in the past month or so, I have resolved to tryout for the baseball team next year. The only problem is that I have never played before... I'm 15, going to be a sopre in High school next year. I just want to make it short and sweet. I want to be a pitcher preferably. My friends always told me to play baseball because I have a great throwing arm, but I know I need to refine it to be even considered on the team. Tryouts are next year, what should I do to prepare? you look like your at a good weight to me....but i cud only see your display and your background pic because were not myspace friends, but if you want to tone up, which i would recommend for you rather than losing weight, you should try swimming!!! it does amazing work toning every part of your body. try running or about 20 minutes A day everyday but be sure to start of walking for 20 mins b4 u run 20 mins because your body has to warm up first....if you don't warm up than basically youve wasted ure time...also cutting out soda's and candy works sooooooo well...it did wonders for me....good luck and nice voice :)

Why is it that people can't get the difference between "loose" and "lose"?

I am going crazy, not only with the silly questions on this site that mean that people are just much less intelligent that I thought (and I had no high view of human intelligence to begin with), but also with the grammatical errors from people who are clearly native English speakers (non-native speakers are easy to spot. I don't hold these errors against them). Isn't it clear when you read the word "loose" that the middle two "o"s are long and when combined with an "s" they should sound like "moose" or "goose"? Am I confused? So why are there so many people here asking how to "loose" weight? I have even gotten e-mail from co-workers with the same error (and we have PhDs)..."Lose" weight is the correct spelling...make a note, write it down, take a picture. Sheesh!

If a NC State Trooper wrote the speeding ticket in the wrong location, can it be dropped?

I was driving home from work. I went to Wilco/Hess to get some gas about 10:17 left the gas station at 10:28 on Oleander Dr, which is Highway 76. After I left I witness someone gotten pulled over, I wasn't sure if it was a WPD or State Trooper.I was looking at my dash and realize I was going between 45-55mph. So I slowed down. I turned left to head on College Rd, which is US117. I was about 1 or 2 miles away to make a left on my house. I saw someone behind my mirror getting real up close to me, and by the the time I made a left to go on my street, I saw the blue lights flashing at me. I pulled over on my street and the State Trooper said he clocked me going 60mph on Oleander (US 76) and asking me if I was in a big hurry. I said, "no officer, this is my street and left work." So he went back to his vehicle and cited me going 60 mph 45 mph on US 117, when said it happen on US 76 instead. So I notice the ticket has the wrong location. So this my 2nd time after getting my first speeding ticket dropped from July to a non moving violation.What do you think the outcome of getting this dropped? I'm really thinking about challenging this in court and challenging his radar gun. My options are try to get it dropped to a non moving violation and take driving school, take 2 pts to reduce it to 59mph, or use PJC. But, I might challenge the State Trooper instead to get it dropped in person.

Why are my roses dying?

My boyfriend gave me a dozen roses 2 and 1/2 days ago. I changed the water and gave them plant food. I clipped the ends so that they would drink and yet they are still wilting!? What can I do to save them? I thought they were supposed to last longer than this!?

I work at a salon and they wax then pluck any stray hairs left all for 10$. I say go on and get them waxed (at any hair salon) because it feels a lot better than tweezers! When I get mine done the part that makes my eyes water is when they pluck the strays, it's not too bad though :D
