Top rock songs for a party? I need songs you'd definitely play at a party.?

I'm being the DJ at a party and I need some good suggestions for songs, the music I mostly listen to is rock so it's hard for me to chose whats good and not cause I like a lot of things, and I guess I want the perspective of other people to help me out, I sat down with some friends that don't listen to rock and they said stuff like 'how you remind me - nickelback' 'bon jovi - it's my life' 'alien ant farm - smooth criminal' 'foo fighters' 'evanescence' and so on... I need other suggestions though
