Is ortho tri cyclen's generic just as effective?

I wanted to try ortho tri cyclen but received the generic TRinessa..i know its the same exact ingredients and stuff so im not worried about that. Im also planning to take birth control pills for clearer skin (because of hormonal imbalance) and to regulate my cycle. I was wondering (be4 i start on it ) if anyone has had bad experience with it, i was just kind of scared before I start on the pills. Ive read alot of dianette, diane35 for clearer skin but it has other side effects. please hlp and give me any suggestions.
