Would they let me exchange if I say I bought it there?

I just got a free Xbox 360 and Kinect with the phone plan I went on. I obviously dont have a receipt but I would love to exchange them for just a ps3 somewhere or a credit note etc. Could I take them to Harvey Norman or EB games even though I didn't get them there and exchange it for a ps3? Please help!
