Relationship Break up after 5 years?

I was in a relationship with a woman and things went awry, no need for the details, I full filled my monetary obligations. I moved out at pre-proposed date. Unfortunately I had to move again after a ridiculous hike in rent after I was in. I moved to new location and after settling in found I was missing some photo albums of my deceased family and current living one. I left a message on her phone three days ago. Today some credit collection office tries to get my SSN number. When I refused he hung up on me. I believe, from the doents I've researched online, written or in person contact must be made before destruction, selling, disposal &/or left at curb. This is after a 8 month duration of time.Obviously I am doenting all levels of correspondence.
